Know how your stator performs before you install it.
In recent years GY6 stators have generally become known in the community as being "hit-or-miss" on quality when buying a replacement online.  We've refused to carry new stators for a while, as we felt the quality consistency just wasn't there anymore compared to original versions from years ago. 

In response to this problem, we've developed our own tooling that allows us to test an individual GY6 stator and see how well it performs before it ships out, allowing us to provide an extra layer of certainty so you can avoid wasting time and hassle of installing a possible dud.

If you choose testing, we'll test the actual stator you’ll receive and provide you with a report documenting its results.  That means less guesswork and time wasted re-buying and reinstalling the same part repeatedly for a good one.

Choose one of three options:

UNTESTED STATOR
Your stator is selected from untested inventory and shipped without individual electrical performance testing.  No test report is included.  

STATOR + (OPTIONAL) SPARK TESTING - COMING SOON
Your stator is bench-tested using a spinning flywheel, AC CDI, and ignition coil to check spark operation before shipment.  Your unit must pass the spark test before it ships. Your report includes the recorded spark-test results and test conditions.

This option does not test lighting or battery-charging output.

STATOR + (OPTIONAL) SPARK AND CHARGING TESTING - COMING SOON
Includes the spark checks above, plus lighting and charging-output testing.

For this service, we install your stator on a running test engine and measure lighting AC output, charging AC output, and regulated DC output. The additional installation, testing, and removal take more time than the bench spark test.

TEST CONDITIONS AND REPORT (IF A TEST OPTION IS SELECTED)
Testing is performed at 1,500–2,000 RPM. Your report identifies your stator and records the measurements, test speed, applicable loads, and pass/fail results.

These are idle-speed functional tests. Results document performance in the test setup at the time of testing; they do not establish service life or guarantee that replacing the stator will resolve your vehicle’s problem. Correct fitment and compatibility remain essential.

ORDERING A HARNESS AND PARTS KIT?
When you purchase testing with a compatible harness and parts kit, the applicable components in your order are tested together within the scope of your selected service.

FAILED-UNIT POLICY
ALL STATOR UNITS FOUND TO UNDERPERFORM AND FAIL TESTING ARE EITHER DISCARDED AND RECYCLED, OR RETURNED TO SUPPLIERS.  REJECTED STATORS ARE NEVER PASSED TO CUSTOMERS.  IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO TEST YOUR STATOR, IT WILL BE RANDOMLY SELECTED FROM UNTESTED INVENTORY.

Units found to fail our tests are removed from sale and never placed into untested inventory. 

WHY CAN TESTING COST MORE THAN THE STATOR?
The fee covers hands-on setup, testing, screening, and documenting your unit’s results. Engine testing also requires installation and removal. 

You are paying for that work before installation, with an individual report showing what was tested and how your stator performed.

Note: If you wish to upgrade from a 6 or 8 pole stator, this will not work alone.  You'll need the larger matching flywheel as well.
