What else is needed?

Get the matching V4 parts kit to avoid mixing incompatible parts. You'll also need your existing battery cables, existing stator, a good battery, and your factory headlights to complete the install. If these are all in good shape already you won't need anything else.

Is my kart AC or DC?

Whether the kart is AC or DC from the factory doesn't actually matter from the engine's perspective.  This harness is AC by default, with a new feature unique to V4 that allows DC CDI units to be run if you have a special one in mind.  Otherwise I fully recommend AC for simple reliability.

Are instructions included?

Yes! Instructions are printed right on the front of the harness pack. It's written out as easy as possible, in clear steps ordered as "123" and "ABC". Installation is that simple, but please do read the instructions first to avoid over-complicating things that really aren't complicated.

Improved USA connectors that resist rotting and crumbling from sun exposure.

SuperGY6 connectors are all custom 3D printed right here in the USA. Even the raw plastic material is made and sourced in America.

This is because original nylon connectors tend to crumble and fall apart after a few seasons of sun exposure.

The connector material is Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol (PETG) thermoplastic selected for a better balance of UV resistance, chemical resistance, and less water absorption. Compared to nylon, PETG tends to be more stable and keep its strength over time despite frequent exposure on our karts. This should be the last harness you have to buy for a good while.

Every connector on the harness is labeled and tells you exactly where it goes. Absolutely no guesswork or head scratching. Super simple install!

What else will I need?

You'll need your existing battery cables, existing stator, a good battery, and your factory headlights to complete the install. If these are all in good shape already you won't need anything else.

Is this the exact same wiring as my factory harness?

No this harness is not the same as your original, this setup is based on my 20 years of personal experience dealing with GY6 karts and issues with factory wiring across various kart models.

I've eliminated common electrical pitfalls that lead to most breakdowns, and focused on nailing the basics with high build quality and reliability as the first priority.

Things like tail lights, brake lights, horns, speedometers, shifter indicators, and turn signals are NOT supported. These things would blow my asking price through the roof considering my build time and the materials required, for not much actual benefit.

    I occasionally receive a rush of orders all at once which may cause a wait of 3-5 days to build and ship your order while I work through my order queue. These "high demand" periods are usually around holidays, spring time (as things warm up across the country), and in July around the 4th. So please plan ahead when ordering around these times, don't wait until the last minute!
